“People who need people are the luckiest people in the world,” according to Barbara Streisand.
Well, I’m not sure if all that is true, but as a new blogger, with aspirations of becoming a published writer, I can tell you that I definitely need people.
I am late to the blogging mania, so I feel like I’m playing a little catch up, but once I decided to jump in, I resolved that there would be no half-assing it. It was all in, or nothing.
So here I am, and as per my m.o., I am arriving to the Ultimate Blog Party fashionably late. Better late than never, I guess.
If you are new to this blog, welcome. Click around. As my tagline reads, you will find general musings on life, love, and humanity.
There will be pieces on the current intersection of law, politics, culture, and religion; blogs about my radically liberal faith; and posts about raising my children in a way that aligns with my humanist ethics. There will also be a fair amount of general observations and ruminations about navigating this thing called life. This is definitely not a mommy blog; but as a mom, parenting-related topics occasionally pop up.
My hope is that you find a nugget of inspiration or thought-provoking entertainment.
If you are an occasional or regular reader, THANK YOU! Please follow me on Facebook and Twitter. Share my posts with others (there are lots of fancy links at the bottom of the posts to help you do so). Subscribe to my blog to receive my posts in your email inbox. And please comment – I love to hear what you think.

Just followed you on FB and Twitter … welcome to the Blogosphere!! I’ve only been here for a little less than a year, but it is FUN! And, you’ll be amazed at the connections you make. 🙂
Thanks following! It has been a lot of fun so far, but also a little overwhelming. Any tips on maintaining focus on your writing and not getting caught up in the popularity contests of social media?
